About the Program

At Thrive Pet Healthcare, we are always looking for new and exciting ways to grow and connect with our community.

Our External Referral Program provides an opportunity for non-employees to receive a one-time payment of up to $10,000 in exchange for the best and brightest talent. If your referral is hired on to any of our Program-Qualifying Positions listed above, and you both meet the eligibility criteria, you will get paid! Plus, there is no limit to how many people you can refer. We know, we’re wagging our tails too!

To participate in the program, you must be an individual with no affiliations to our business, at least 18 years of age, and a legal resident of the United States. In order to receive the referral payment, you must complete a W-9 and any additional required forms. These will be sent to you by Thrive once your referral has reached 90 days of employment with Thrive.

Check out our program-qualifying positions above! If you know somebody who may be a fit, please first read our Terms & Conditions to confirm both you and your referral are eligible to participate, and then click on the “Submit a Referral” button!

What is the External Referral Program?

A referral program open to persons unaffiliated with our business to assist Thrive Pet Healthcare in attracting, hiring, and retaining the very best talent.

Who is eligible to participate?

To participate in the Program and be eligible for a referral payment, you as the Referrer, must satisfy each of the following requirements:

  • Must be an individual person (and not a business entity), who is at least 18 years of age and a legal resident of the United States.
  • Cannot be currently employed by Thrive.
  • Cannot be a current contractor, temporary worker, payrollee, or consultant of Thrive.
  • Cannot be associated with, employed by, or a consultant of a staffing or recruiting agency or third-party to whom Thrive is contractually obligated to pay a fee for the hiring of an individual referred by, or working for, such staffing or recruiting agency or third-party.

What candidates can I refer?

To participate in the Program, and for the Referrer to be eligible to receive a referral payment, the Referral Candidate cannot be any of the following:

  • The Referrer e.g. self-referral (you cannot refer yourself).
  • A current employee of Thrive or any of its affiliates or subsidiaries. Current Thrive employees should participate in the Employee Referral Program.
  • Already referred by a current Thrive employee or any of its affiliates or subsidiaries.
  • A candidate who has applied for employment or contract work at Thrive within 12 months of the Referrer’s submission of the Referral Candidate.
  • A candidate who has already progressed through the hiring process e.g. interview, offer, hire stage on a current requisition prior to the referral submission.
  • A current contractor, temporary employee, payrollee, intern, extern, or consultant of Thrive.
  • A contractor or 1099 relief worker, payrollee, consultant, temporary employee, or intern/extern of Thrive within the previous 12 months.
  • A provider of services to Thrive (if they have provided services to Thrive in the last 12 months).

What happens after I submit my referral?

After the submission of your referral candidate, we will evaluate to confirm they satisfy the eligibility criteria specified in the Terms & Conditions of the program. If they are eligible and selected to move forward in the hiring process, we will contact them directly. We will contact you if your referral is hired into an external referral bonus-eligible position.

How will I know if my referral is hired?

You will be notified by a member of the recruiting team if your referral is hired and meets the criteria to receive a referral payment.

When will I receive my referral payout?

This will vary depending on the role your eligible referral is hired into. If you refer someone and both you and they meet the eligibility criteria for the bonus payout, the bonus will be paid out after the referred candidate meets 90 days of continuous employment with Thrive and is in good standing performance. Please read our Terms & Conditions for the full details regarding the payout terms.

The terms and conditions of this program/agreement are subject to change, suspension, or termination at any time and in Thrive’s sole discretion, without prior notice to the Referrer.
